24 Port PoE/PoE+ Manageable Network Switch
Overview of Industrial Managed Switch
The IM-FP042424GW is designed for industrial networks where data and power must travel together, reliably and continuously, across wide physical areas.
It functions not only as a Layer 2 managed switch, but also as a centralized power distribution node for PoE-based industrial edge devices.
In environments where deploying separate power lines is costly or impractical, the switch consolidates network connectivity and device power delivery into a single infrastructure layer.
Twenty-four Gigabit Ethernet ports provide dense access for edge equipment, while integrated PoE capability supplies operating power directly through Ethernet cabling.
Optical uplinks extend network reach beyond copper limitations, enabling long-distance connections between control rooms, cabinets, and field installations.
Several interfaces are implemented as COMBO ports, allowing fiber or copper media to be selected dynamically according to field cabling conditions rather than fixed port design.
The switch is built for continuous operation in locations exposed to heat, cold, vibration, and electrical noise.
An industrial-grade enclosure, wide operating temperature range, and redundant DC power input ensure operational stability even under unstable field conditions.
Internally, high switching capacity and large forwarding tables allow the device to scale with growing numbers of powered endpoints.
Advanced Layer 2 management, redundancy protection, traffic control, and security mechanisms work together to support always-on industrial PoE networks.
Compliance with global industrial and rail standards makes the IM-FP042424GW suitable for regulated and safety-sensitive deployments.
Long service support, including replacement and extended repair coverage, reinforces its role as a long-term infrastructure component.

Key Features of L2 Managed Switch
1. PoE-Centric Network Architecture
The switch follows the IEEE 802.3af PoE standard, delivering power and data simultaneously over Ethernet.
Each PoE port supports up to 15.4 W, with a total system power budget of 340 W.
All 24 RJ45 access ports are capable of supplying power to connected devices.
PoE eliminates the need for local power adapters, outlets, or additional cabling at the device level.
Typical powered endpoints include IP cameras, wireless access points, VoIP terminals, and industrial sensors.
2. Port Density & Media Adaptability
The device integrates 24 auto-negotiating Gigabit Ethernet copper ports for large-scale edge connectivity.
Four Gigabit SFP fiber interfaces support both single-mode and multi-mode modules.
Optical transmission distances can reach 20 km to 100 km, depending on the selected transceiver.
Specific interfaces operate as COMBO ports, enabling fiber or copper selection on shared channels.
This design allows deployment decisions to be driven by现场条件 rather than fixed hardware constraints.
3. Power Input & Industrial Hardware Design
The switch uses DC 48 V non-polar dual power inputs, improving tolerance to power fluctuation.
Dual inputs enhance system availability in sites where power stability cannot be guaranteed.
A metal enclosure rated IP30 provides mechanical protection and basic dust resistance.
The form factor (483 × 275 × 44.5 mm) supports standard rack-mounted industrial cabinets.
Compliance with EMI and EMS standards ensures reliable operation in electrically noisy environments.
4. Switching Performance & Scalability
A 48 Gbps non-blocking switching fabric supports full line-rate forwarding across all ports.
An 8K MAC address table allows the switch to manage large populations of connected devices.
Support for up to 4096 VLAN IDs enables complex traffic segmentation in multi-service networks.
The internal architecture is designed to maintain performance even when PoE ports are fully loaded.
5. Network Resilience & Topology Protection
Ring-based redundancy is supported through ITU-T G.8032 Ethernet Protection Ring.
Additional compatibility with ERPS, STP, RSTP, and MSTP allows integration into mixed topologies.
Network recovery times of ≤50 ms minimize disruption during link or node failures.
Loop detection and suppression mechanisms protect the network from broadcast storms.
These features are particularly important in dense PoE deployments with many edge nodes.
6. Traffic Control & Forwarding Behavior
The switch uses store-and-forward forwarding, ensuring packet integrity.
Support for jumbo frames up to 9.6 KB improves efficiency for large data transmissions.
QoS mechanisms classify traffic and assign priorities based on service requirements.
Bandwidth control operates in both ingress and egress directions.
Storm control limits excessive broadcast, multicast, and unknown unicast traffic.
IEEE 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet reduces energy usage during low-traffic periods.
7. Security & Access Governance
Network access can be authenticated using IEEE 802.1X, based on port or MAC identity.
Centralized authentication is supported through RADIUS and TACACS+.
ACLs provide fine-grained control over permitted traffic flows.
Security features such as IP Source Guard and ARP Inspection prevent spoofing attacks.
Management access is protected using HTTPS, SSL, and SSH v2 encryption.
DHCP Snooping and Relay with Option 82 secure IP address allocation in PoE-heavy environments.
8. Aggregation & Uplink Expansion
The switch supports static link aggregation and IEEE 802.3ad LACP.
Multiple physical links can be combined into a single logical interface.
Aggregation increases both bandwidth and fault tolerance for uplink connections.
This is especially useful when connecting to industrial backbones or control center switches.
9. Management, Diagnostics & Time Control
Configuration is available through Web GUI, Cisco-style CLI, SNMP v1/v2c/v3, and Telnet.
Firmware upgrades can be performed via TFTP or HTTP, with image redundancy protection.
Monitoring capabilities include RMON, MIB II, and detailed system logging.
Port mirroring supports traffic analysis and troubleshooting.
Built-in cable diagnostics identify open or short circuits in Ethernet links.
Time synchronization is supported via NTP and SNTP.
10. IPv6 & Environmental Endurance
The switch fully supports IPv6 management and control functions.
Supported services include IPv6 Telnet, ICMPv6, SNMPv6, QoS, and ACL.
Environmental testing covers vibration, shock, and freefall per IEC 60068 standards.
Operational humidity range spans 5% to 95% (non-condensing).
The design is suitable for mining, petrochemical, rail, and other harsh environments.
