Industrial Optcial Converter RS485 RS422 RS485
Serial to Fiber Media Converter Fiber Optic Modem
Introduction of Serial Data to Fiber Converter
The IM2101-RS232/RS422/RS485 Fiber Media Converter is an industrial-grade serial-to-fiber communication device designed for reliable long-distance data transmission in harsh environments. It converts RS232, RS422, or RS485 serial signals into optical signals, enabling communication distances up to 80km over single-mode fiber while providing complete electrical isolation between connected devices.
Featuring industrial DIN-rail mounting, wide-range DC power input, surge protection, and ESD protection, the IM2101 effectively eliminates electromagnetic interference, ground loop issues, and lightning-induced damage commonly found in industrial communication networks.
The converter is widely used in SCADA systems, industrial automation, power distribution networks, intelligent transportation systems, water treatment facilities, oil and gas monitoring, and remote telemetry applications where stable and secure serial communication is critical.
